Clunk!!!!!

I have a lound clunk when I am in a slow turn. It is not all the time it is here and there. I noticed that it happens the most while I am in a turn and going backwards. I think that it may be the right side cv joint. It looks fine from the outside but what I think is happening is that the ball bearings on the inside are turning like normal but at times gets jammed and then releases, thus the loud clunk. Do you guys have any idea what may be going on? Or even any tests I can do to help pin point my problem.

you said everything looks fine from the outside but are your cv boots torn? - they should be packed full of grease

No the cv boot is not torn. I think it is the right cv joint because I was mess'n with it and there is a lot of play in it where as the other side has no play. I am going to replace the right side tomarrow and will let you guys know if that fixed it. I hope it is not the transfer case.

I replaced the half axle and the problem is still there. I noticed that the wheels feel like there not wanting to turn if I try to make a sharp turn from a stop. and it clunks if I release the cluthch quickly.

My car does the excact same thing. The only difference is that my car is a 1g. Hope you figure it out because it really bugs me.
