I have a 1998 gst with aftermarket suspension (KYB + GC) and a RMDSM swaybar and is just slightley lowered with 18in wheels.

When I'm driving and I go over any bumps in the road I hear a CLUNK sound come from the front suspension. I believe it is coming from the passenger side. Also when I am stopped then accelerate into a left turn (like at a stop sign) I feel a slite wobble or vibration in the steering wheel untill i get to about 40 or 50, then it stops.

I think it is my tie rod ends or lower ball joints, but what do you guys think it could be.

Thanks,
Sasan

Cease driving now. Have the VIN checked with the nearest dealership to see if the balljoint recall's been done. If not, get it in. If it has, get it to a good, local, non-chain front end shop and have them give it a look. It may be swaybar ends, or it may be another and very serious thing. It's nothing to dick around with.

This is how my 95 RS was and I kept driving thinking it was the spring or shocks, then one day I was pulling into a parking spot and my ball joint on the driver side snapped and the front end of the car was sitting on the pavement. It was ahrd to find a tow truck driver to even take on the job but finally got it towed on a flatbed to Mitsu and they fixed it for free. :thumb:
