Timing 22
O2 .87 V

i dont get why so much timing and why so lean?

2nd gear logs don't mean all that much. Not enough load on the motor. I can't understand why you are still getting 22 deg. timing with 40 counts of knock. If the car is a 1990, then .87V isn't that lean. I've gone as far as .84V on pump gas, with no knock. I'd try a 3rd or 4th gear pull, from 3k to 7k if possible. Then post THOSE #'s to get a good idea of what is going on all throughout the pull.

this is like the most useless post ever, u dont include enough information, with a knock count as 40 , considering the stock knock sensor maxes out at 43 counts, id say turn the boost down about 5-10lbs from where ur at now, and 22 isnt to high a timing, thats what i pull all day.

how do i upload a whole log on the website. im running 93 octane and 16 psi

When you have 40 counts of knock from ACTUAL knock, then yes, 22 deg. timing is way too high. At that number, if you have more than 5-6 deg. advance, it's not good. i'm guessing it's some form of phantom knock or mechanical noise. but in either case, the ECU looks at the knock sum, and adjusts timing accordingly as well. 22 deg. advance on a 16G isn't much anyway. That's about where it should be.

we would need a complete list of pertinent mods (all airflow and fuel related), then we would need all of his afc settings, boost levels, etc. Without that info, diagnosing this is impossible.

I have 650cc injectors walbro hi pressure 255 3 inch maft blow thru 2.5 inch upper ic pipes. big 16g evo3 manifold stock fpr soon to be full throttle afpr

im no exert but 650's amd a evo 16g shouldnt be that lean imp. correct me if im wrong

What type of fuel control are you using. If its an S-AFC so how much do you have it leaned out. If you lean it out a lot, it would cause your timing to skyrocket, even in the presence of knock. To control this you can lower the base fuel pressure. So you can lean out the fuel injectors less.
