I got my manifold and turbo housing coated. Are they suppose to coat the matting surface? There’s a little splatter on the manifold. What’s the proper way to flatten it? Razor or sand it?

Thanks
Tony

if its bad go 80 then 180 then 320(optional) with the flattest/longest/most rigid block you have/can find

Ive had the Durablock set for years as an example for you.

doesnt look like theres much on the flanges though. if its just that dot then knock it of with a razor blade

Thanks evl! That’s the worst. Couple of other spots but nothing major. Wasn’t sure if it’ll start peeling the ceramic.

Mating surfaces (with a little splatter like yours) were coated on my headers for my GTO and downpipe on the Talon. No issues with either. Headers has been on for over 5 years too.

Ok thanks man! I used a razor to remove it and it flaked off pretty easily. Wasn’t sure if it’ll cause it to peel but think I should be ok since it’s on the matting surface. Awesome that it lasts a long time.
