Hey guys. So Some of you might of heard of car sponsors.com.... You submit a form they approve you and your car and then they send you parts you want from approved sponsors for your car. There is An application fee of like 99 bucks. Then you have to go to local car shows and rep for them and do some online participation....

Now here IS THE INTERESTING PART. I always thought this was a scam.... Well I got a real shocker today..... FYI me and my friend rent a 3 bays and have a dyno........

So A friend stops by and mentions all this bs about how he is signed up and approved by this website for his rx8...... So He bought a bunch of stuff and then he had to send receipts and pics of it all installed and they sent him a check reimburse him>>>> I saw the 5500 greddy kit and the check they sent to him to refund him!!!! And THIS IS A FRIEND>>> NOT A RANDOM STRANGER....... Does anyone have experience with this ??????? Im so lost cause I swear it was a scam and I saw the check infront of me.

I agree with the above statement. Where is the proof?

In my old car club, extreme concepts hawaii. A few members tried this out and nothing came of it.

ok I'm going to try and get a bank statement or something but Trust me when I say this.... I am not suggesting anyone SIGN UP. But when you have a friend show continue to pull with new parts on there car you really start to wonder wtf is going on

I would easily assume; Ebay, Craigslist, Amazon.com, Drugs, Prositution and all of the extreme Etc...

Not saying your lying, or your friend is either, just saying its hard to beleive that Carsponsor.com is legit in any way shape or form. Unless somone else on here can chime in and say "Yes, they are legit" and then provide some sort of solid proof.

If in fact they are legit, it would be a good way for some of the members to get better or more parts instead of thrifting constantly, knowing that they could get up to 100% rembursement for parts they buy from retailers, but then again who besides Vendors are making aftermarket parts for 1G and 2G DSMs anymore? My answer is not that many.

edit: So for kicks I was signing up for the website, only to find I already had an account LOL

Nopi has essentially tanked, and you do not pay to be sponsored. Same scam, new year and suckers.

I had seen the commercials on spike tv and wondered what they wanted you to do to receive sponsorship. Well now I know. Give us your cash to pocket, your information so we can sell it to marketers, and we will randomly pick 1 out of a thousand applicants to actually "give" parts to. Oh by the way you have to buy from our sponsors to even be considered then we might refund what you buy. Might. You won't know until after you have spent the money though. In tiny tiny writing... All above statements apply if and only if you are the 1 out of a thousand or ten thousand whichever we choose. Advertise for us and we might pick you as well. Again if and only if you are the 1 in ten thousand we pick.

This reminds me of when I did construction work. There was a thing like this, "you can be our field tester of construction equipment and keep what you try for free." Just sign up. HHmm ok why not.
I got a thin foam sanding sheet sent to me worth $1.
I did the "review" I was supposed to do and....
Got tons of junk mail sent from everything and everywhere for months.
Anything else to "reveiw"? nope nothing.

Legal scam

Ok, it does seem fishy and in most cases for some cars it might be, I did this about 6 yrs ago. Had a 06 eclipse gs. Just for giggles I signed up to a couple of sponsors. (Alot of the sponsors look for cars in certain areas.) I got a call from lewis, who worked for vertical doors out of california, shipped me my 1500$ set of hinges for the price of shipping. Yeah. It's kinda a hit or miss, but.it did work for me along time ago. I did have to put a sticker on and take.pictures of me with my car for there online catalog. Il never go through the pain to put them on again. It really isn't worth the money, but yes it does work.
