car will not start (just cranks)

i looked at all the relating to my problems my car is having on the forums, but i cant find one that really helps me diagnose the problem. first let me start by saying im obviously new to the dsm world and i HAVE searched the forums, which leads me to believe its a bad ecu. i drove the car for a week straight and didnt have a single problem, so the following week i decide to drive my other car since i kinda abandoned it to drive the talon. i get in the talon one day to just let its run for a bit and i crank and crank and crank and nothing. i started to try and figure it out and upon trying to figure it out, ive notice im not getting spark nor fuel (injectors arent firing)im getting fuel to them. i dont know if the ecu is bad and honestly dont want to just throw money at it if theres someone knows what it could be. someone please help me out. thanks in advanced.

In my experience a bad CAS would fire for a few seconds and then leave no spark and fuel. But Im not sure if it was "on the way out" or symptoms would differ if it was "bad". best thing to do is find a buddy with an ecu to swap for a minute. and/or with a cas also. Should put you in the right direction. I would send you a good ecu to try if the last guy I sent it to didnt keep it and not return it.

To check the ecu with out removin it just turn the key to the on position. If the boost gauge (stock) doesnt go to "0" and the check engine light doesnt come on the ecu is bad.
