my 95 dsm fwd gst starts but doesnt move when i change to other gears
its an automaic
doesnot move at all
checked the dipstcik for transmission , i saw burnt oil and smell of burning item

please help me out :( what could it really be
car worked fine today morning , i just got it from garage after a new painting etc

bro i submuted it from my phone but there was no internet, so it resubmitted a new one automatically

Well we need to check the basic. Can you actually shift the trans? If yes then that's a good start. Does the trans have any fluid on dipstick while he car is running? If yes then even better. If not then add some. Do you have any DTC? Like incorrect ratio or like output shaft speed codes? Does it feel like it wants to go? Like if their is any load on the engine? Can you communicate with TCM at all? These are some questions that you need to answer because I hate to say it but something probably broke.

well if he needs help he needs help-he is new and might have done it by accident
if the tranny fluid smells burnt and looks burnt then the tranny is most likely is done(some old school'ers like myself even taste it sometimes-i know its nasty)
the smell and dark fluid is usually tell tale sighn that the clutches in the tranny are wiped out

I agree, but if the question, what's the fluid level, never gets answered how can you help? That's all I was saying. Hell, we all need help and have questions from time to time.

Np. I wasn't trying to come across as rude, just wanted you to see the whole story. I'm all about helping. I tried

You didn't come across as rude. It's good that you pointed it out. Thanks. Anyways I think the op needs to tow the car to ammco or something along those lines. Sound to me that the car will need a transmission.

Make sure it's the correct model, same as yours. No concrete way of knowing. someone's word, return policy and seeing it in person are all I know. Fluid color and odor are things you can use as an insight to the condition of the unit.

Rebuild yours. That's the only guarantee you could have. I found out that over the years working with people that people are not very honest when they sell used parts. The only way to go is if you buy it from big company that has a good reputation and that will cover some of the labor cost in case it has to come out again. You have to read the fine print.

Also Dubai? Really? If you can post some pictures. I would love to see a dsm in Dubai.

alright , just visited the mechanic , he told me a hose leak caused water to enter transmission and fail it ( yes i had a hose leak few months ago but fixed it, its right on top of tranny so guess thats the problem) and while he was inspecting the car more he saw damage on radiator, so need to change tranny and radiator :(
going to le tthe mechanic get a new tranny with garauntee of it working . i should roam around my country in search of a radiator haha.
