I just bought a car....with a supposed bored .30over motor with ross racing pistons and the list goes on frankenstein turbo stock 450 injecters with an safc for tuning ..Got the car home thinking it needed a clutch pulled everything apart. Clutch was good rear axle was bad..fix that then we get an exhaust leak then to notice we had a cracked manifold. Now the car is all fixed back together with evo 560 injectors now....and the car isnt idling right the screw on the throttle body is stripped out car is idling at like 400rpms. Would that screw make the car sit at 400 rpms. Im trying to diagnose problem. Ordered new screw and Oring. Does the cam position sensor affect idle? Would changing car to 560 injectors cause that problem? I mean its got a bigger turbo needs some bigger injectors. THE CAR IS A 1990 :(....Car idled fine till my buddy ####ed with the screw why the car was down for a couple a days and now the screw is stripped out???if the oring comes out will that make the car idle at 400rpms???

This will be the first and last time someone will help you translate your post. Slow down and use complete sentences and a spell check. This was a headache to read. I have translated the post by the original poster for everyone.....

I just bought a car with a supposed bored .30over motor. Some things include, ross racing pistons, frankenstein turbo, stock 450 injecters and an safc for tuning. I got the car home thinking it needed a clutch, so I pulled everything apart. Clutch was good but the rear axle was bad. So I fix that and then we get an exhaust leak. After investigating I noticed we had a cracked manifold.

The car is now fixed and back together but with evo 560 injectors now. The car isnt idling right now and it appears the screw on the throttle body is stripped out. The car is idling at like 400rpms.

3. Would changing car to 560 injectors cause that problem? I mean its got a bigger turbo needs some bigger injectors.

i was trying to get help... anyone that can read will figure out what im saying. Ive practicly diagnosed the car on my own without ever touching a dsm before this car. I was just looking for help not somebody that has nothing better to do but repost some shit, I know what im talking about just not familiar with dsm. Work on srt4 neons and evos. Dont talk like u know it all. Obviouslly u couldnt help since u just reposted my shit.

yes the screw/o-ring (Base Idle Speed Screw/ BISS) is how you adjust the idle RPM. just remember to ground your timing or the ECU wont recognize the change when you fix it. Use Vfaq.com and look for 1g idle adjustment. there are pictures and step by step guides. good luck!

With the screw all the way out, your idle will rise because it's as if a you have a vac leak but when it's all the way in it will drop the idle to the point where the car wants to shut off. But the best way to check for leaks is do a leak down test make sure everythings good and yes the settings on your cam angle sensor will affect the idle on the car wether you advance/retard it.

i can pull the fuel and idle didnt change afrs change on the wideband thats about it. Is there a certain spot ## cam position censor has to be at? I DO HAVE A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT NOW. didnt have light before. Does anyone know how to read the ecu on this car?

Have you checked and double checked your afc settings? I know a lot of people have a hard time tuning 550's in with an afc and that is widely considered its maximum usefulness. Replace the Biss scre , o-ring and cap, its only a few bucks so why not. Check for vacuum leaks, cracked or loose tubing, and the norm.

Car is running good again. 16psi on Frankentstein 16g turbo with external gate. Going to raise the boost to about 20 tonight and go and do some tuning.
