Well I finaly got my brakes done and good thank god! Bought thecar knowingit needed A brake line. Was told it was the rear. So I ordered all the rear lines, upon replacing thenO see the steel line was shot not the soft line. SO I said #### it bought a 25' roll of 3/16 brake line. I cut off both rear brake lines(steel line) about the middle of the car. I had to bend and form theline my self. I added all new fittings installed the lines, was going fairly well. went to put brakes back together and thefittings were to short wouldnt go tight. So I got to the parts store and get longer ones. Reinstall the new fittings and put it all back together. go to bleed the brakes and drivers side is leaking right where hard line meetsthe soft line. So Im like ok maybe the flare wasnt good enough,so i cut 1/8"off and reflare......same issue....try again new flare same issue(note every line is new) Im like WTF....so I just made a new line rebent it reflared andstill its leaking. I gave up and JB welded ot to seal it(tempory). I Also installed new calipers, all 4 with pad and rotors. I come to the shop in the morning ready to bleed my brakes and start something new....Walk in and itswet every where....all myfluid leaked out(my dumb ass left a bleeder open), so I tighten thethe bleederand refill the fluid. I have by buddy pump the brakes a few times and he cant get no pedal(now I wasntbleeding the brakes just yet). I look over at the other rear tire and now thats leaking. Its leaking from the back of the caliperwhere brake line screws in. I snug itup a little and still no pedal, look at caliper and line almost shot out. So iremoved the line checked it out and its stripped.....look at caliper theres a heli coil for threads. I call the parts store tell them my issue they order mea new one no cost. Picked it up next day installed it all was well. Now I still have the drivers side leaking from ashitty flare. So back to parts storeI buy 2 12" premade lines cut one end off and cut about 8" off from the bad flare. Take the premade line bend it for the curve and install it. Works great no leaking. That all was just the rear. Now I start the front, passanger side went well besides over tightened bolts. Move to the drivers side and I tryto carefully remove the steel line fron the soft line( the short steel line behind shock) it ####ing snaps. Thank god I bought 2 premade lines. I bend the line to fit and worked out well. Finaly gotto bleed the brakes all the way. Everything bleed great I have a nice firm pedal and COMPLETLY new brakes all the way around.
Though Id share my Hell I went threw to replace the brakes....Ohh there is no JB weld now.
