I was told that my 1g with the 2g dual piston and rotor upgrade isn't enough for the track. running HAWK HP plus pads and power slot rotors with motul fluid and stainless brake lines.

So i plan on upgrading to the power slot plus rotors. Would that be enough? Would it fit my stock 16" wheels? I want the sleeper look.

I'm doing road racing so the brakes will see a good amount of heat. thanks

I just put on powerslots big brakes on the rear. The rotors in back are only 11.5" but they use a caliper adapter that re-uses your stock calipers. I believe my instructions mentioned they recommend 17" wheels. The calipers with adapter plates might not clear stock 16" rims.

As Kevin mentioned, the big brake kits that use your stock calipers by "relocating" them with the brackets actually work pretty good for the money. Even a slight increase in rotor size that will still fit under your current wheels will make a noticeable difference.

The Hawk pads are very good. But next time you need to change pads consider the Porterfields. I am currently running the R4S pads with my AEM big brake kit. WOW! They are a little bit on the spendier side but well worth it IMO. It would be hard for me to go back to anything else.

you might also want to consider making some brake ducting since you will be roadracing, its easy to make with dryer tubing sor something similar and will provide significant cooling and will reduce brake fade and could save your rotors from warping
