So i bought the JMF heat shield from Import evolution for my fp manifold but im not sure how i am going to get it on there. Is the shield supposed to come with the brackets like in this thread?

Mine did not. Also it seems as if my shield does not go as low as the other shields i have seen. Meaning even if i had the brackets I dont think the bottom of the shield would reach I will post a picture in a second. Just curious if I am supposed to order those brackets or if they were supposed to come, or if i should even bother with the shield on the fp manifold.

Yes it should have come with those brackets, email Jim for a set.

I had the same heatshield and to me the fitment was crap. It fit better in the garbage can than it did on my car. Maybe you will have better luck though. I'm waiting on someone to make a better one.

ya i was thinking something had to be wrong i'll give them a call or send them an email to see what they can do because even with the brackets it doesn't extend down low enough to use them

Yep, definitely not a fp manifold shield. Make sure when you order the right one that you get the steel brackets for it and not the aluminum ones.

A lot of the vendors have them for sale. I personally use ExtremePSI, but that's because they're close. Just brows the vendor listing on this site and compare prices.

I emailed Jim at JMfab he told me that the heat shield has been discontinued do to sales and other complications, so what do you guys suggest I should do? Probably don't wanna run without a shield and melt everything. I have already had that experience when i took the stock shield off. :notgood:

I figured that since it is no longer listed on their site. You can have it ceramic coated, I had my FP manifold coated with 2000 deg flat black ceramic by Bonehead Performance.
