My friend had this DSM before me and did some cheap mod's and it practically killed the car... he added a Garret from a Volvo It says .45/.48 on the turbo. He added a HKS BOV its not the SSQV, It has something like a different cam or something because it sounds like an RX7 , they threw away the entire factory exhaust and made a custom 3" all the way to the back with a dynoflow muffler.
I can't put the stock turbo back on cause i don't have the stock exhaust, also I think that bov leaks (its the one that looks similar to the stock eclipse one). Besides when you race it from the hole like at 4,500RPMS it goes back down to 2,000 rpms and starts going up again. 3rd and 4th gear it throws a small ball of smoke from the exahust.The steering wheel throws to the left and the axles are in good condition... Besides all that the engine stoped lifting oil pressure and started leaking oil outside the exhaust... and the fuel pressure when u punch the acelerator goes down...
I only got a budget of 1200 bucks to repair this car... Is this posible?
Can I use the turbo thats on the car? Can someone help me out with this... I always runned all motor, (hondas) and wanted a turbo car to run it to the low 12's this car was doing 13.5@99 miles the last time it went to the track (I drove it, it wasn't mine at that time), last time I tried it with a Gtec and it did 14.9@91mph best time... same setup
