i just noticed this the other day, when i turn my car off, the boost gauge rests below 0.. around 2-3 inches or mercury (IN Hg), it boosts to 14, so does this mean it is actually boosting around 12.5 psi or so? i didn't really know if it has always been like that, but i looked at my picture in my gallery of my boost gauge and it used to rest at 0.... is there anyway to set it back to 0? i was thinking of getting a new boost gauge when i get my EGT and oil press gauges, then they would all match... just something i noticed..

Often the needle in the gauges gets knocked around and sometimes theyre off center, theyre pretty delicate ive heard. This sometimes happens to people when the gauges get shipped in the mail. If so, usually if it reads off a certain amount when off, itll be that much off an any value.

thanks man... i am sure that i did something to do this... i took it off awhile back, maybe i did something to it, i was careful with it, but not careful enough i spose.

You would tecnically be boosting more than it shows if it rests below zero with everything off.

I would just buy a new one..... and make sure its a good one. That's the best way to go. You probably will never get an accurate reading from that one again.

Calibrate it with another gauge. At $50, you're not getting NASA accuracy. Keep in mind that it also won't be dead-accurate in use. Another reason to not try and crowd the edges with tuning.
