Sorry if there is already a post on this i searched for awhile. I have a blow through setup on my gst and was wondering if the 1g bov is good for venting to atmosphere. If so can anyone show me where to find a filter for it?

Your car is going to run like crap if you do it.

He's running the GM MAF in blow through. :ohdamn:

Moroso #68811, It will keep your engine (oil) cleaner due to the fact that the 1G BOV remains slightly open at idle and low engine load.

Any BOV is fine to vent with the proper setup. What do you need a filter for?

The 1g bov is open at idle and can draw unfiltered air into the engine.

K&N makes a filter that will fit your bov, go to any parts store that sells K&N and they can find it by size but it will be about $40. Alternatively you can use a piece of cloth and a hose clamp as a filter. A piece of T-shirt works well from what I've heard. It isn't the most refined setup but it does the job.

My real advice is to still recirculate it anyway. When you go unrecirculated you'll find that you lose a bit of spool between shifts and the car just wont feel the same.

1g bov is fine and do agree with others recir the bov only with major mods is venting this worth it. a few hp loss is no big deal for most over 400hp
