First: you are a moron. Maybe, if we could understand what the #### you did, then we could comment on it. However, your post is a bunch of incomprehensible babble. Maybe you can try to explain exactly what you did? Is the HKS BOV hooked up inline of the stock BOV, or in parallel? Do both BOV's still have their reference ports hooked up?

With regard to running two BOV's in parallel: This gives the air a greater area to travel through when the4 BOV's vent. With a large horsepower car flowing a lot of air, one smaller bov (such as a 1g DSM bov) often does not have enough area to dump the air as fast as necessary, and this can cause lag on shifts.

Last time I checked Super 16gs didn't come stock, but thats what your profile says you have. I can make up lies too. I ran a 9.81 on a T25 w/ a million bajillion BOVs all venting to my ass, so maybe you should try it.

It's bad enough that you came up with this idea, but then to tell other people to do it is worse. I wrote a whole paragraph explaining why you were wrong, but you have yet to produce one shred of evidence as to why your way is superior. Maybe next time newb...
 
Like I said before having them 2 bov's will do jack shit for you but make a pretty noise through the ssq(which only about half the air is going through if even that). If you try to boost more then 12 psi the stock bov will leak like a mofo which deafeats the purpose of having the ssq bov. Thank you come again.
 
jeeez, where do these noobs come up with these ideas, you need to do a little more research. Oh, and a 12.9 with a 14b or T25 is bs. show me your car and a slip......otherwise your full of sh*t.

hey p8ntballa I'm not going to get into your case about defending this idiot, but read his first few posts. He is obviously an idiot. He claims he has one recirc and one vented.

it is true that with 2 BOVs you will see a gain with high boost, but this guys claims to be stock.

So far no one has agreed that it is a good idea, in fact most people pointed out reasons why it doesn't work well. Your only come back is trying to tell us we're all morons and that it "works". There have been at least 5 posts showing reasons why it doesn't work, including one of mine. If you could provide some facts as to why you think it works then please enlighten us.

Where are you from? You say you run 12.3? You obviously don't live in the toronto area or I would know who you are because I'm at the track day and night and have never seen a Laser RS Turbo run 12.3 at any event or test and tune.

This is what we call BS. Do yourself a favour and dont say stuff like that because people who acctually go fast know that what your saying is total BS. It's like trying to tell a doctor that you cured your disease by eating chicken soup, it makes sense to you but he can tell right away your a moron....:thumb:

There was a time when all of us were new to this! you cant expect the man to know everything if he has no prior experience...and as far as wasting money, how the hell did he waste money? If he bought an HKS bov (which is the one thats blowing off anyways, not the stock one), thats probably...what in the range of 200? where as the stock one came with the ####in car, its not like he spend money on two blow off valves. However i do agree that leaving the stock on one with the hks is stupid thing to do, but to each his own, is his damn car, let him do what he wants....

dcskater82 - You don't understand why I and most of the other people have been posting. He tried to get other people to do it, which is leading other people in the wrong direction. Next he tried to make fun of us because we are apparently slower than his wicked fast 12.3, which is most likely fake. Finally he tried to convince us, many experienced and knowledgeable DSMers, that what he was doing was not only ok, but better than what we were doing. At which point we made posts explaining why it was wrong, but he continued to proclaim that his setup was superior despite the numerous facts presented as to why it was completely wrong. People who are new should follow the experienced people because they know what works and doesn't work 99% of the time.

apparently you are confused....a vented HKS will do all the same stuff you speak of....even without the stocker on there....the HKS wont allow air out so it wont bog during idle..only the stock BOV will have problems being vented at idle....the hidden aftereffects of venting will still be there... you wont notice it at idle...you wont notice it at all until you are filling your gas tank everyday. good ol newbs. btw...any new people here...DONT DO THIS. it wont hurt anything, but it sure wont help anything either. i am still confused on why your doing this??? what exactly are you trying to fix here? :rolleyes:

ok here we go..i'll try to put it in the "for dummies" context...no pun intended:
you have a vented BOV. on a BOV such a HKS which does not leak at idle like a stock unmodded one will (which is one of a few advantages of getting a new BOV...the others are holding higher boost and reacting quicker). now u still have one problem. ANYTIME you vent to the atmosphere, you are losing metered air when you shift via the HKS BOV. losing any metered air, especially that suddenly, will cause the car to run REAL RICH for a few seconds right after you shift. this shot of gas will cause a lil bogging in driving (not really noticable) and cause your plugs to become fouled, whih will decrease performance. also your O2 sensors will not like it either. i can see kind of how you think this might help, but these hidden effects are still present. your setup wont hurt anything. but it wont correct whatever problem it is your trying to correct.

now if you really want to vent, you do have a choice....a VPC ($800), or a hotwire MAF (Ramchargers Translaotr $200 + 3" MAF). i have the latter and love it to pieces. i used to vent my HKS and had all of the telltale symptoms. bad gas mileage and black plugs. fortunately never had an O2 go out on me. the translator now lets me adjust fuel and vent too. :thumb:

prolly because...with that BIG of a turbo, 2 BOV's are needed to release all that air
 
im just sayin....let him do what he pleases, if he thinks 2 bovs is good, good for him...as far as trying to spread this idea, the other dumbass kids shud not be listening to him...oh well, i put in my two cents, im done....yeah, that camaro...holy shit man, i didnt even think God cud produce a turbo and piping that ####in GINORMOUS
