This is the stock run of the mill BBK Throttle Body, has not been customized in any way.
After one session on the dyno and a drive home, I pull the car out to give it a little drive, and the car is acting very wierd. I plug the laptop into the EMS and find out that my TPS is at 0. We that is strange I have my foot on the gas and it is still at 0.
So I start checking the sensor, to verify that it is working correctly, and all is good. The DSM sensor is bad ass, I sware they are bullet proof. So I look at the throttle body and start messing with it. I notice that when I move the rotor, the sensor prong does not move, and the rotor feels very loose. So I push it back into place and everything is working the way it should.
So I decided to take it off and figure out what is going on.
Here are the pics. Childred under 16 should not watch.
Now I will not 100% fault BBK, I did not have a Throttle Stop on the pedal, and I am pretty sure that this is what caused the failure. I will now have to machine all new parts for a brand new throttle body.
My advice would be to use a different throttle body or the one from FFTEC, they seem to have really good reviews so far.
