Langley,
how hard is it to take out door dings and other dents? what kind of tools are needed? i want to get it professionally done with a new paint job but it's expensive. anybody done it before without being an expert?

It all depends where they are and weather or not you can get behind it. Some asshole kicked a dent in my rear quarter-panel last weekend (I'm assuming, I didn't actually see it) and I was able to rip out the interior panels and just pop it back out with my fingers. The sheetmetal on these cars is very pliable.
If it's got some sort of bracing behind it, though, it gets a little more difficult. You can either take a holesaw to the bracing and make a hole big enough for a wooden dowel or something to get through, or use the basketball trick, where you jam a deflated basketball in between the dent and the inner bracing, then inflate it enough to pop the dent out (but not too much!). Good luck.

I heard ding king will help on small dents like 1 inch and smaller .
Anyone had any good experiance with it ??

Most of the time, when a dent is popped out, the paint will be stretched. It is no longer attached to the metal or primer where the dent was. And you will most like have a rust bubble or peeling paint a couple of years down the road. That's why a lot of paintless dent removers follow hail storms. They fix your car and take off. But your talking to a guy that does body work and painting, so I am probably biast against paintless dent removal. But I have also seen some paintless guys do some amazing work.
