auto meter oil temp install kit

Hey I have been trying to find an install kit for an autometer install kit but i cant find one. I have the gauge but not the wiring and that stuff. Does any one know where i can find it?

your best bet is to get an adapter plate to go in between your oil filter and housing like so...

edit: for the wiring go to autometers website or do a google search for the wiring diagram

ok I am hoping to aviod getting the oil filter one because i have heard stories of those leaking pretty good
and if i can get the sender there were could i find the wiring

For the wire, if it's electric gauge, all you need to do is run a wire from the sensor to the gauge. Go to autozone and grab a roll of 14-16ga wire and run it.

ok thanks I think im going to just buy a new gauge with the instal kit included. the one i have was a birthday present from my brother so maybe ill have him help me pay for it.

I there some reason you believe oil temperature should be monitored? ...

No but I wanted a more accurate temp. gauge along with a boost gauge. My brother had both in his wrx but he wrecked it and pulled them out. Those were the two he suggested.

IMO Oil Pressure gauge is more important than oil temp, but that may just be me.

yeah i dont have much experience with this kind of stuff, but i do know I have had problems in the past with the temperature of my engine so I want to be able to keep a better eye on it
