OK, I know you can sand lenses and polish them to get the yellow out and there are clear coats and such. What I am wondering is replacement lenses and where to find them. My sister got some replacements a few years back online but can't remember where or whoshe got them from. Does anyone know if they sell replacement lenses?

I don't think there are replacement headlight lenses, since these lenses are basically "glued" to the housing to seal out moisture, etc. However, it's possible to find entire headlight assemblies on eBay or maybe the classified section of this forum that aren't yellowed/fogged.

Honestly, it's pretty easy work to polish/re-surface the headlight yourself if you have the right tools and plastic polish. Even with a terry clothe and 5 minutes of rubbing you can dramatically decrease the amount of yellow haze on the headlight lens. I know because that's what my lazy @ss did a few months ago in a gas station. :)

Yeah I know I buffed mine out and it took awhile and looked pretty good when I was done but it yellowed up again pretty fast so I was just thinking it would be better if I could find new replacements so I don't have to do it all the time. Quessing I'll just have to bite the billfold and get whole new headlight. Any good brands someone will vouch for???

The trick is to do a primo buffing job and then cover them with Ventureshield 6-mil urethane paint protection film. You will never have to touch them again. We've covered this subject here often.

The urethane film blocks the damage caused by highway grit and also blocks the UV light that causes the yellowing to re-appear on unprotected lenses. This is also way better than any clearcoat you could spray on them.

No one makes a headlight for the 2G that has a better hardcoat than the OEM lights cames with but after 10 years even those will fail. Ebay lights, including the Keystone OEM-style knock-offs, will peel and yellow after one season in Arizona and soon after that in other climates.

If you look for the clear film on ebay they usually mislead you about the thickness and list it at 8-mil. It really is the 6-mil (with 2-mil of adhesive). You don't want the thicker film made by Ventureshield (10-mil) as it is much harder to lay down and it not required.
