Hey folks we're trying to upgrade a 90 AWD to dual piston calipers. The 90 AWD is non-abs, will the calipers from a 93 AWD with ABS fit ont he vehicle? I know the ABS rotors will work, but not sure about the calipers.

First off there's no such thing as abs cailpers, cailpers are cailpers they just have a brake line inlet no wiring or anything. ABS is controlled by the cv axles they have teeth on them & the sensor is mounted on the spindle. Counts the speed also called speed sensors send data to ABS module that's how ABS system works...so yes the cailpers will work reguardless of ABS or NOT

O forgot if your converting from single piston to dual piston may not work. 2gs same 1g I'm sure they same too but you might need to have backets fad so the duals will fit because they are bigger than the single piston
Good luck hope helps;)

I've upgraded my single piston calipers to dual's with no issues. It's called big brake upgrade for 90-91's. If you do a search you'll see what I mean. If your gonna go to dual pistons you might as well upgrade to the larger rotors. If your feeling froggy you could even do SS brake lines.
