Just to let you know that the 1st pic is not for the eclipse, the 2nd or bottom one is the underbrace for the rear. The underbraces are both 2 point braces. The rear is basically the same as a rear lower tie bar. It bolts to the same place as any other rear lower tie bar. The front attaches to 2 mounting points close to where the compression are bolts to. The front will affect some ground clearance but I havent had any problems and Im on H&R Sports(1.75" drop). If your looking for more reinforcement look into the RRE front lower brace. I have this one as well and this one ties the lower control arms together. Although the RRe bar does affect ground clearance alot especially if your low.

thanks for the info. my car is pretty low and ive read in a few threads, that the rre lower tie bar can affect ground clearance, so ill wait until i can raise the car up a little with coilovers before i get that one.

did you feel a difference after installing the tanabe chassis braces?

all the sites ive checked out use that top pic as a ex. of the 2g ft brace. anyone have a pic of the actual 2g tanabe ft brace?

thanks again

the lower control arms in the rear are already tied together with a big chunk of channel from the factory. i did not look before i purchased a lower tie bar for my car. all it amounts to is a $20 chrome bar for someone to look at. no added strength value at all.

Do you have any symptoms of a flexing chassis?

yeah, unfortunately i recently had a a little damage to the chassis, now that its been repaired, i want to protect the repaired areas as well as strenghten the overall chassis by adding some braces.

anyone else have any info. that would help?

thanks

I dont have my camera but heres the pic for the RRE front lower brace and also where the tanabe brace mounts to. The tanabe bar mounts to the bolts in the red circle and on the other side.
