Do you get horrible boost spikes?

I've often thought about doing this, as a buddy of mine has one that works quite effectively on his SRT4. The only difference though, is that from his turbo to the cabin is about at least 2 feet shorter than that of our cars, since our turbo's sit at the front of the car, rather than against the firewall like his.

Does making the line longer make boost spikes much worse, or impact performance considerably?

instead of taking the boost controller and making all the Vac lines longer, you leave the vac lines short and leave the MBC in the engine compartment.... there is a long, steel-braided line that has a knob on it.... think of it like a long MBC linkage.... thats probably what he has in his cabin... there are quite a few kits out there that have this feature, you just have to look...

if you do it buy it from a reputable shop or company i seen one from ebay that some guy brought over for me to install and i pretty much just laughed and told him just spend the extra money and do it right... Not saying everything "ebay" is bad though...

i have a Hallman EVO PRO RX MBC with the cabin cable and worked fine with my last set up.

No, it's not. It's an actual knob that is connected to a vac hose that runs out his floorboard and into the engine.

I have seen friends do it, they did get boost spike but never over a couple psi. The shorter the vac lines on the mbc the better.:thumb: .

Is there proof that shorter lines will differ from the longer route? I'm sure it's obvious in length but if we're gonna debate let's just bust out the actual facts.

I would say that if it werent a fact they would not have come up with the cable, would've just ran vaccuum lines.... right?
