Ok I tried searching and couldn't find any info to really help.I have tried some of the suggestions i have found ,and no help. I have an Ebay boost controller. It looks like the old turbo smart style. It is an incabin mount. If I turn the dial to minus all the way it makes it boost over 20psi, and if I turn the boost + any I only seem to turn 10 to 12 psi at the most. When I install the ball and spring T that came with it then it stays at max boost and isnt adjustable. So I am either at max boost or 10lbs of boost and can't do anything inbetween. I have hooked the WG directly to the boost source on the turbo pipe and I see 10 to 12psi. I took my boost controller apart ,and there isn't a spring or ball inside of it. I got it cheap , bust as soon as I can afford to i am going to order me a different one to see if that helps. Any tips or ideas might help. Oh and I have a 4g63T with the ported 16g turbo. 2.5 exhaust, stock injectors, stock ecu, bored .040 over. IDK if that info will help but I can't figure it out. Thanks for looking.

Sounds like it is a cheap boost controller. Anyways some are more touchy then others. A turn may mean 10 psi. So what i would do is make a lot smaller adjustments and go from there. Start where it was at 10 then go 1/4 turns until it goes up to where you want it. If that last 1/4 turn puts it at 20 slightly turn it back about 1/8 and so on.

I would then imagine the opening is very small, meaning once you start to turn it, it is fully open. Im guessing it is very touchy but there will be a very small window to get it at the right limit. If the slightest turn gives it way to much I would invest in a better one. Better boost control will benefit you in the long run.

Oh I know it will. It blew all 4 of the pistons last time because it had way too much boost which made it run lean ,and yea. so i wanna keep it down at 14 to 17 max. I was looking at an article on here about building a boost controller. I might check into that because I was just looking and I don't have the 70 and up to afford a good brand one. I am sorry if some of my spelling and grammer might be bad 'but I am half asleep LOL.

That is definitely the truth LOL. Well this or nuthin so I chose this one LOL.i just got the part list to build one. I am going to go see what i can get tomorrow. Ok let me ask this question. someone just told me I need to vent the top line of my boost controller instead of hooking it to a vacuum source??

Well I just tried it with it venting into open air ,and it seems to spool quicker .but it still isn't adjustable it just stays at max boost. I am probably going to sell this thing and build my own.I am out of ideas to try.
