I am debating over 3 amplifiers. I just need some opinions so I know the best amp to buy on monday. Here are the 3 amps:

I am planning on buying this subwoofer which I've heard pretty good reviews for what it costs:

The blitz amp seems like the best deal to me because it is the cheapest and I could upgrade to 2 1100 watt subs; but I don't know how good the quality is for it. And will i be able to run just 1 1100 watt sub with a 2400 watt amp?
thanks for any input.

well, im goign to be honest with my opinoin

the boss amp, is from a company that is known to be shit
the audiobahn isnt bad, but its not gonna push anywhere near the watts it says it will.
adn the blitz prolly wont as well.

With everythign you get what you pay for. It might be beneficial to go ahead and drop 5-700 on a decent amp, (flame series audiobahn amp, The higher end rockford ams i.e. BD series, Directeds d series amps, MA Audio adn a few others)

the sub is a decent choice, and your right, it is good for thet price. But you should also look at RF punch P3s too, its a lil more, but from waht ive experienced and heard, the new rockford stuff isnt toooooo bad.
im runing a set of p2 10s in my jeep with a 750d class directed amp (~500 retail) with the amp about halfway up, adn it hits near 148 db...just shy of it.

but with your stereo, do it right the first time, or you wont be happy, and will do it again.

sure... that amp is 1/2 the size it would have to be to "run" that sub.

if the sub truly is rated at 1100 RMS... for $100 I see why you are considering it...at retail or street price I wouldn't.

but who are these people and are these refurbs or factory seconds they sell cause they sure aren't A stock or authorized dealers? No warranty for you my friend... caveat emptor.

the amp you were looking at (the other 2 I wouldn't give you $23 for together)
is rated stere at 300x2 at 2 ohms... you would only get a maxium of 600w rms out of it. (and yes audiobahn overrates there specs... even rms)

SO you need to either get a different 600w rms at 2 ohm sub (dvc 4ohms) or look for a 1200w amp... personalyl i'd look forthe other sub as 1k w amps get expensive and they use a lot of current... meaning more money from your pocket to wire and support them with caopacitors and upgraded alternators if you really want to run them hard all the time.

if you look on the bottom of the webpage next to the price it says the subs have a one year warranty. so if I am strongly planning on buying the audiobauhn sub, would you give me a link to an amp. that would handle it fine.

ok but fyi they are not Audiobahn dealers, therefor anything you buy from them is considered used (you are notthe original purchaser) and thus AUdiobahn will not grant any warranty to you. I guess these online guys are providing you their own warranty. Make sure you get the details of their warranty in writing though, and don't let them tell you it is OEM warranty... it isn't. I have declined and had declined customer's repairs b/c it was an online purchase from a non authorized retailer ie second hand product.

you need an A18001DT from audiobahn or a JBL GTO 1200.1

I have personally used that audiobahn, and it wasnt bad or anything, but it's hard as hell to power. I would personally get the Boss RT2500D for that sub. I know, boss.... but i have seen this amp on 12.44V at a local pawn shop pushing the Audiobahn AW1206Q which is the same sub that you are looking into. With all EQ levels flat on the deck, and the bass boost on the amp off playing a bass test CD in a 3ft box tuned to 39hz the amp did start to distort the sub a little. Not much, but just a little. Keep in mind that these subs are known to handle much more than 1100rms. cardiscountstereos has the amp for about $240 to your door, but u can get it off ebay for $180 shipped.

Also, from personal experience, i have found that audiobahn's ratings on their subs tend to be realistic in the smallest box that they reccomend for the sub. keep in mind that the bigger the box, the lower the sub will hit, but the less power it will handle. the opposite applies to smaller enclosures.

unless u have it in a huge box (8cu ft or more) then no, ur gonna need at leat 750w RMS to get anything decent out of these subs
