There is a minor lip in front and behind the amp that is pressed into the floor., but its not "hidden". If you were to look under the seat you can see it. It is a small amp, only about 2" tall, if that.

thanks, I guess I dont have an amp then. Although the aftermarket head unit sure makes the system loud...

Aftermarket headunits have built in amps, or a MOSFET system (in pioneers).

Besides, you cant run an aftermarket unit on the stock amp unless you want to splice all the wires yourself which is a PITA. Its not worth it when aftermarket amps that will nearly make you deaf can be had for $75.

A form of field-effect transistor controlled by voltage rather than current, like a bipolar transistor. MOSFETs have a significantly higher switching speed than bipolar transistors. They generate almost no loss (little heat generation), which lends the power supply fast response, excellent linearity, and high efficiency. AKA, makes it run better. MOSFET is a little amplifier that uses less power for more output power. Kind of like Class D amps.

Ok... If I'm wiring an aftermarket head unit into my 1997 GSX with the Infinity Amp, exactly what wires do i have to splice? because all i've head in the past is that you have to splice wires but no one ever says which ones? Thanks Guys
