well, lately ive been having this alternator belt squeel on brand new belts, gators, and they are tightened perfect and etc.

Well, my problem is, i'll start the car, the vacuum will sit at 15 for about 3mins warm-up. The car will run fine, but when i switch on my headlights, the vauum will go down to 12 immediately..then if i put the brights on, itwill go to 10..Then if i flick either the A/C, the heat fan, or the amp i have, either of these will start to make the alternator squeal and squeal....only while idling. So headlights +brights = squeal sometimes..

headlights + fan/ AC/ or amp = squeal.

what can be the problem??

Brand new optima battery also!!

its a belt squeal it will come and go..

but it only happens when there are bigger power consumptions.

shouldi not be able to have the headlights and a/c on?

Sometimes the car will almost die if i turn stuff on. hm.

It sounds like me that you have a bad alternator, if you can get your car to autozone, they will test it for free in your car, or out however you want to do it.
