Well, it's been a long while in between blogs, and for good reason. One, my three kids make it almost impossible to get anything done unless the wife is willing to take one for the team and wrangle them by herself (which she does more than she should, God bless the lil' masochist). Two, I had NO idea what the hell was keeping the damn thing from running at anything past 7psi. So, after about a week of trolling the forums and tweaking little things here and there, I finally set out get her running the way she did BEFORE I slapped the Evo III on her. (Backstory: bought a crap-ton of go-fast parts almost a year ago, and she hasn't run "right" since)
After getting the brakes installed and squeezing nicely, fighting the fuel pump, and damn near losing a thumb installing the axles, I decided to go ahead and go over the engine bay with a wide-tooth comb. Long story short, LOTS of zip-ties and expletives later...I had un-fcuked the engine bay as best I could without spending money. Still, no matter what I did, from re-torquing the exhaust manifold, to using injector spacers as bushings on bolts under the car. (to potentially cure phantom knock? Sounded good at the time...)
Well, after a few shotgunning sessions in the wee hours of the morning, I decided to look at things objectively. That's right, AFTER I did the majority of the work.
My A.D.D. notwithstanding, I decided that I didn't care WHAT the casing of my Turbonetics MBC said, I was going to flip that little bastard around and give it a whirl. The result? One grown-ass man cackling like a school-girl with a hand on her knee tearing down the road at what DSMLink and my boost gauge assured me was 20 psi
As for the year long time-span of her not running right? I'd be willing to guarantee I had installed my home-made MBC backwards as well.
At least this time it was technically not my fault. Anyhow, getting back to the subject at hand, all I have left to do is button up the interior from the front seats back, give her a wash, and air up the tires. THEN, the REAL tuning can begin.

Sidenote: I'll eventually get some pics up...eventually
