a sqeeky noise on start up

sometimes when ever i start my eclipse up it sounds fine but when i go to rev it a little big it sometimes makes this crazy sqeeky noise. it sounds like *sqeek* *sqeek* *sqeek* *sqeek* *sqeek* it does it in fast little blurps. it only does it on the very first rev. after that its back to my turbo lovin. my aunt says its the fan belt or something like that.

Thats what I would say. Check the belts to look for wear on the belts. If you dont see any ware just look on the other side of the belt to see if there is any ware on the other side.

Well, it's not the fan belt, since DSM's don't have fan belts.

It's probably one of the accessory belts.

my drive belt used to get pretty squeaky so i opened the hood, turned the car on and rubbed a candle against it for a few seconds. squeak gone.

btw the belt itself was fine, just a little noisy. make sure you check the belt.
