Hey I currently live in Des Moines and traded my 97 gs eclipse for a 96 gs spyder. When I got it I had a blown motor. It has the 2.4l single over head cam. I'm wanting to build a all motor car and didn't know if I should build the blown motor or if I should get the 2.0 dual over head cam motor. And if I did get the 2.0 would it match directly up?

420a (2.0L) is crap unless you don't have a budget....build the 2.4 imo. No the 420a will not bolt up. Could also swap a 4g63 head, club3g is a good place for info or 2gss.org

Thank you Soo much I literally spend hours a day looking for a good motor swap. I just never herd of anyone building the 2.4l sohc. I have the whole engine bay redo e need to Add my new pics. I just want to get so e more whp before I put e dry thing in. If you can give me some more pointers or now of anyone who have built the 2.4l let me know please.
