The last few days my car has been hesitating under boost. Its not too bad when I get on it, but just daily driving I can feel the car hold back and hesitate. The wierd thing is I just swapped my EPROM ECU with a buddy's 97 NON-EPROM ECU. He has a 97 GSX and I have a 95 GSX. Im not sure if when I swapped the firing order with the spark plug wires I may have messed up the plugs/wires. I did start up my car before swapping the firing order, so that also may have messed them up. Just looking for some answers, Im pretty sure the actual ECU isnt causing the problem. The way I look at it, the ECU shouldnt cause my car to miss/hesitate under boost. I did try resetting the ECU and then letting my car idle and get used to the ECU, but maybe if I put in new plugs and filled it up with gas (car is a little under 1/4)? Let me know what you guys think, and sorry for the long post :thumb:

Your the one who switched with spoold huh? I agree on letting the ECU learn. You didnt mess with anything physcial so Im guessing thats not the problem, and like I have said in other threads, if you notice a change and only did 1 thing...obviously it was that. I say let it get set in and see. I never heard of someone wanting a non eprom unless going back to stock haha. Goodluck

Yeah the only reason I decided to swap was that I never plan on getting my car as far as DSMLink. So I figured why not help out Dan and he is also giving me a logger setup so I do benefit from the deal as well :thumb: But Im about to go buy some plugs and I should have some wires on the way. Im going to put everything on and then reset the ECU, and then let it sit and idle for a while, then take it for a drive. Hopefully that works otherwise Im SOL LOL

SOunds good. Another benifit of your eprom would have been to have a chip burned for your injectors and abunch of other options. wiseman andy is making nice power with an eprom chip. Let us know what happens.

Alright, I just replaced my plugs with some NGK BPR6ES 's gapped at .028. The problem is not as bad anymore but is still there. The hesitation is only at low RPM's, about 1500-2500 give or take. Its also only at partial throttle, if I go Wide open then its fine most of the time. Should I do wires/fuel filter? Im running out of options and Im low on cash :notgood: Let me know what you think :thumb:
