Where can I get one that fits correctly? I got one from the auto parts store (Dorman) and it doesn't fit without reusing part of the old boot. I was shocked that the directions actually expect you to rig it that way! Who has the one that actually fits right?

The correct part (as opposed to the jerry-rig uni-fit part) is RAYBESTOS Part # 8162941 at Rock Auto.

Nah... when i got my car i needed a boot replaced shortly after a little snafu. After doing some searches and research i didn't like any options that were available for just replacing the boot so i just replaced the whole shaft. Did both sides while i was at it. It really is not THAT much more than to get a boot kit. Plus, for the inner you would have to take the whole shaft out anyway, unless you got one of those questionable wrap around ones which i don't recommend. I ended up getting both driver and passenger brand new half shafts, new wheel hub nut's and seals for under $150 shipped to my door. Something to think about for piece of mind if you got a little extra cash to spend
