All hardpipes
Slow boy manifold
Megan exhaust 3" turbo back
large fmic
Hks cams

I would like 300-350 DD reliable is this possible with this setup. Estimate of what i have now im not sure any thoughts.

Few areas of concern
Idle bounces at light from 700-1400. Or it will just idle at 1500 any thoughts
Whats the best way to tune this car. Gm maf. And maf translator or. Something else.

Cannot post pics off ipad any help.

Thanks and look forward to you feedback

invest in ECMLINK V3, that is the best tuning system for your car. Nice set-up anyway and I love the laser look alot more than T/E =)

I have the same car except, I'm running speed density. I also run jackal from ds-map.com. 300 should be easy with your setup. I suggest you do ALL the maint, replace all the rubber hoses, all the oils, all the belts, ecu rebuild with new caps and socket the board if able to, buy a spare socketed ecu(and put in car just in case) check all the lug nuts, replace timing belt and now you have a dd with no problems. Jackal cost me 20.00 for the software, 150.00 for the ostrich chip emulator, iat sensor was free at the junk yard, and 30 for a 3 bar map sensor. After a decent tune, and what you have, 300 is easy, you'll want more!
your idle could be a vacuum leak or bad isc or biss needs adjusted.

Terry's Talon Troubleshooting Tips #3 - Fast Idle (aka. Idle Surge) <--- You have what's called idle surge going on.

With that set up, you already have DSMlink. It was called DSMlink until v2.5 now with V3 it's called ECMlink, I know there is a discount for upgrading but I'm not sure how much.

Realistically with a proper tune I'd laugh my ass off if that car didn't make at least 450hp.

That turbo is capable of pushing quite a bit more power than that (It's rated by PTE as a 545hp turbo)

It says you have HKS cams, so I'm assuming it's the typical HKS 272, which is perfectly capable of pushing great numbers as well.

If you aren't already making 300-350 awhp or more whoever tuned the car either... didn't... or had no idea what they were doing. But then again, the mod list could also be total BS or your "act clutch" could be slipping but I think you'd know that.

Going to get the car tuned friday at his motorsports in hickory nc.
Hoping for good numbers. I tried to post pics however it will not let me. I searched and didnt find any advice on how to do it. Any help would be appreciated.

Has alittle idle surge from 900 to 1200 all things have checked out I'm thinking it the larger injectors and the cat is over compensating. PO had the dsm link installed its the older version. I don't have the disc or anything for it.
So I just figured ill let the shop dyno tune it.

You have DSMLink in your list. Do you have a laptop so you can datalog and post a log to see whats up with your idle?

uh you dont need a disc. ECMtunint computer portion is free/open. its the cable, chip, version, ecu that costs moneys.

And get some pics man. 1gb lasers are fresh. Im also gonna bet a vac leak is the idle problem too.

Google a boost leak tester and be on your way.

I have pics just doesnt allow me to uplload them is it cause im a new member?

It could be a boost leak im looking at this tester. Im going to try to check it before friday.

ECMTuning, Inc.

Download the V2 DSMLink file. They will have to have some way to connect to your ECU to tune. Do you have the OBDI cable with the DB9 connection on the end? Keyspan sells the DB9 to USB adapter to connect it to your laptop. You might already have the cables installed in your car.

I already have the wires under the dash. I'll check it out this evening

Did a boost leak test everything turned out good.

I also found out the motor has been bored .40 over balanced crank shaft 1g rods
I asked the guy that is going to tune my car and he said 250hp is what i should expect. Am i crazy or unrealistic wanting 350 to 400 reliable. With a pte 3431 is that to much? Its rated at 550.
Also since it has bc springs and retainers does that give it the possibilty to rev higher?
