I was thinking about putting a body kit on my 91 Eagle Talon TSi :talon: . I was wondering, what modifications would I have to do if I bought the drifter style kit made for the 90-94 Mitsu Eclipse?

there is no 90-94 kit, its a 92-94 kit.

The 92-94 drift sides and rear bumper will fit right on your 91 talon. The front, if you can find a 90-91 drift front bumper you'll be good to go. If not, you can get a 92-94 bumber and have it cut/glassed to fit right. There are quite a few threads about this in the past, you may want to do some searching.

As your title states, I am replying on the body of the car. THis is coming from an owner of a 90 TSI. I would LEAVE IT BE. It's a gr8 body as it came. IMO, that 'drifter kit' is nasty. Just buy rims, and lower the car. PLEASE do it tastefully. I hate when THE PEOPLE start 'rice-ing' the cars. It just adds drag and weight. So, hopefully I have enlighten you. Good day sir.

This is coming from someone who 1. can't spell, 2. doesn't own your car, and 3. used "8" as part of a word

Hmm....Can't spell??? Atleast, I know where the SHIFT button is at. You are stating that I don't know how to spell, AND you need to learn how to use the shift button and I'll learn how to "spell". Sir, there isn't a SINGLE misspelled word in there. The capitol 'H' is there, because obviously I held shift for too long of a time. Which atleast I know how to do. Also, I CLEARLY stated that it is what it is an opinion, IMO=In My Opinion. And by stating that I use the #8 as a part of a word, true, but what about ALL the other that have it as well? Say anything to them? OR is it that I hurt your feelings? You like that kit as well? That's fine, what ever floats your boat. I just don't like it. Good Night.

woah..we got attitude coming up in here. well i think the drift kit looks pretty good as it is one of the more 'clean' and slick looking kits out there for the 1g. and hey, he can do what he wants with his car right, he just wants input about how the kit bolts on, he doesent need someone bashing on his ideas.

yup that should fit. i looked into getting that kit for my 90 as well. the rear bumper and side skirts will fit good but the front bumper will either need: cutting and shaving to fit the stock 90-91 talon lights or to fit properly these kits are made for 92-94, so that means if u dont want to shave the bumper, you would have to replace your hood, fenders and all front lights and then the kit would fit. its a bit of work either way

Yes, I do point it out to everyone else that does it too. It is against the forum rules.

The only thing I never liked about that extremedimensions link that was posted is that in the example pictures, a 1g as well as 1gb is pictured. It does say that some of the examples have molding done, but doesn't really tell you what year bumper you are getting. I assume a 92-94 but the main picture of Collier's car is a 90-91.

OK, SORRY TO ALL. I was thinking of the wrong 'kit'. The kit for the 1g(a), doesn't look bad. It's the better looking one of the bunch. Now, IMO, that kit IS acceptable, well to my standards. I guess because the yellow one is wider, flared fenders. Now all I need is to see pictures of the rear bumper. :D

As stated above 92-94 sides and rear will fit, and they do make a 1ga front bumper. I can't remember the website but they do make it. But in my opinion leave the 1g alone.... It looks good as is.
