Hey guys, real quick question.
Is it possible to remove a 6bolt timing belt cover out of 2g without destroying it? it costed me $100+ new

thanks.

Sorry guys. I work graves and took the car to the shop in an emergency because of faulty Fidanza cam gears.
My mechanic was like "do you have another one?" This is my first 2g. I cant imagine what the problem would be, but maybe theres interfernce between the cover, mount and body. Maybe thats why 2g's use a 3 peice design. Or should i tell him to STFU and not mangle it cause it cost +100 dollars.

Yes, you need to remove all the belts, and possibly the water pump pulley. Remove the driver's side engine mount, support the engine with a jack and a block of wood. Then remove all the bolts from the t-belt cover. You need to remove the studs from the engine mount point on the side of the block.

Ok. Cool. I think he was just being a by-the-book dip sh*t.
Ha. Little do they know theres a 90 engine in a 99 body with a 95 ECU.

I agree you just need to take the studs out of the motor mount bracket on the engine and it should slid right out for you.
