I just got done with my 6 bolt swap . I kept the balance shafts , I just didnt want to bother with removing it all . I swapped the rings out for some fresh ones cleaned the pistons and installed new bearings . The old balance shaft belt I could tear with my hands it was completely gone . I turned it over for around a minute to get oil pressure . I put the plugs in and it fired to life . I ran it for around 20 minutes at 1500-2000rpm and turned it off when it hit running tempature . I fired it up again and there was no problem . Today though I went out to start it and it wont start . I have spark and fuel !! What could be causing this ? I am sure that it will be somthing easy . Any way I put my body kit on and did some trimming to make it fit perfect . If any one has any ideas why it wont start please give me a hint .

Since you stated that you have fuel and spark, I would think it would have something to do with your electrical system. Did the cam ange sensor become unplugged my accident? Is your ECU in good condition? You don't have much info on your vehicle in your profile. After running it the first time, did you go back under the hood to check anything? Does the car just crank with no sounds of it wanting to start? Or does it stutter and stumble like it wants to but just doesn't?

it's deffinately the body kit. On a side note... it's probably a plug that came loose or something. Go through and check all your connections. Does the engine even turn over?

Here is what turned out to be . Becuase I was rushing and didnt take my time the timing belt pulley(tensioner) was put on backwards and was seized up against the timing cover . It jumped time by around two teeth on the bottom crank pulley . I found out the easy way I just took the top cover off and cranked the engine over by hand and found the two top pulleys where retarded and advanced two teeth . I really lucked out nothing broke no valve intereferance. I have driving it today for the first time and went out and set the rings . It runs like a champ It does however have a little diffuculty when coming to a stop and idling . I am sure it will be cam position sensor or throttle position sensor . Thanks guys I now have a 6 bolt and the swap was straight across nothing really neede to be moddified . I also kept the air cooler for the oil filter. I will keep you all posted for the next upgrade .
