i have a 6 bolt out of my 92 tsi that has about 120k on the seasoned block, the engine was rebuilt 1200 miles ago but was displaying 4psi oil pressure, due to bent oil pan that was pushing into the sump. (as well as some dried rtv from the prev rebuild) i pulled the motor, purchased another from rix racing, so this one is ready for a rebuild. engine ran ok when coming out, no noises, but i pulled 2 rod caps and found bearings are in ok shape, but not for 1200 miles. ( i can send pics) there was never any metal in the oil pan, but i'd still rebuild it so you know its going to last you, no scoring on the cylinder walls and rings are new so you'd be okay if you wanted to skip those- but again you're already into the motor so why not. i'll give you the straightened oil pan as well, so short block from deck to pan. stock bore/stroke and i cant ship this thing, pick up only.
thanks for reading- i've since posted pics of the rod bearings to show the motor is worthy of a car.
