ok i got 160,160,155,165 on my test.ok i know thats not good:toobad:my question is how many turns do you let it do before checking it. i only let it do it five times. is that to little

You should go seven times. Also the gauge should go up quickly and not slowly. Make sure you also had your throttle all the way open, the engine was warmed up, and all of your plugs were out. 160 is not to bad not great but not bad because the service limit is 100. Add some oil to your cylinders and see if it brings the compression up. If it does it just means that your rings may be slightly worn.

ok i didnt open the throttle and i put some compression repairer and i got 180,175,180,180. will do the open throttle tomorrow and see the ### the results are

well i have been burning alot of oil lately and now i found my timing is off.so could that be the issue of burning oil

well i'm going to pull the head soon ### i got some down time due to getting it ready for paint:hellyeah:. so is there a list of things i need to get. i'm replacing the head gasket, timing belt and obviously the valve seals. anything else

Have the head surface checked and machined or polished if needed, and if you can afford it, this is the perfect time to change the timing belt tensioner, idler, and waterpump.

well got the same results 180,175,180,180

The service limit is 100, an engine in good condition will usually be between 190-210. Your numbers are a tad low, but nothing to worry about; As, they are all very close to one another. Definitely a good time to check the flatness of the head, do your valve seals, and like Locke said, a new water pump can never hurt.

ok guys well i will get started. i will get some pictures of the head to see if there are anymore problems that i cant see

Ok is there something that can guide me threw this. I'm not much of a mechanic. more of a body man:hellyeah:like the only thing i'm worried about is putting everything back together, like what to lube up and how tight to the bolts need to be. reall can't buy a guide due to alot of money issues.:(
