3 to 4 bolt swap

i've got a m/t 91 (november of 90 build) awd talon

and a blown to shreds n sat a while a/t 93 (unknown build date) laser rs awd

of course i want to change read ends from the 3 to the four bolt rear ends (save cash and time down the road since driveline parts break ya know)

Well i've spent 2 hours reading posts.. almost everything says i can

but there are a few posts stating that the gears in the rear wont be compatible

but not every post states this i'd just like a lil clairification

Is it possible to directly swap them

And what is the downside to the gears from an auto transfer case on the manual tranny?

No its not possible to directly swap them, the MT and AT have different rear end ratio's that match up to the ratio for the front.

I don't think there's really a good/bad for either ratio, just one that goes with the AT and one that goes with the MT.

I would probably pull the 4-Bolt and put it up for trade for one from a MT car

Whats a good place to get a good 4 bolt .. very cheap or for trade for a auto 4 bolt? junk yards around here are pretty emptied (chuckles) i went isc searching a few weeks ago not a single one in any
