3.5" Intake pipe w/ T28

I am now stuck with this 3.5" VPC pipe that I had ordered from DSMparts. My question is if I use this will it have any negative effects? (ie a reduction in intake velocity so severe it would effect spool up?)I have the couplings ordered to attach it to the 2.5" compressor housing on the T28, but I don't want to hurt performance by using this. Thanks in advance for any insight, and thanks for the space.

it will be fine.. it wont hurt nething. i have a 3 inch on my 14b and it works just fine. its kind of like running a turbo open with no intake (maf depending) and it will suck in all the air it needs too. it dont matter.

No it won't hurt. Ideally, nothing would be in front of the turbo. Turbos don't like to suck air through restrictions. We have to put filters on the front of them though so we don't suck anything in that would ruin them. So as long as you get everything to fit with the couplers and have no boost or intake leaks, then all will be well.
