No they are different. The bottom tabs that the radiator mounts to are in different locations. So no it wont bolt up. If you had to make it work, you could cut the lower mounts off and reweld them where you need them.

Im not exactly sure what you're asking. Both the radiator caps on 1gs and 2gs are on the thermostat housing. The 2g upper radiator hose is in the center where as the 1g is off on the passenger side. If you are looking for an aftermarket radiator either koyo, mitsumoto, fluidyne, or an afco radiator could accomodate your needs.

Ok I know this is somewhat old but to answer differences in the radiators. 1g's have different mount locations. 2g's I did tons of research on since I just ordered a mitsumoto. 2g's rs/gs piping is to the side. Gst/gsx is center. You could always fabricate the 1g to fit, I'm to lazy to fab so I buy direct fit. Hope that helps

Im revivng this thread because my upper radiator hose spout snapped off while pulling my turbo, from it being dry rotted.

I cant find an aftermarket radiator for a 97 gsx AUTO transmission. Will a m/t radiator work?

Also I want to keep my stock fans if possible, if not oh well.

Unless stock radiators can keep up with high hp applications?
