2g mas in 1g w/ old AFC?

I'm about ready to get a good condition knob style Apex'i AFC for $80 from a friend. And my other friend has a 2g MAS that he used on his 1g before he went with the GM MAF-T setup. Well, I know I need some kind of tuning device. But we aren't sure if the 2g MAS will work in a 1g with a old AFC? Help!?

FYI: I will have a datalogger before either of these parts are installed.

P.S. Sorry if this is in the wrong section, it kinda seems like a tuning question more than a bolt on question.

EDIT: Oops, guess I put it in the wrong section anyways. Laugh at my stupidity.

The old safc should be fine to tune for the 2gmas, but as you know you will be experiencing more airflow so you must compensate for that. 550cc injectors and the 2mas fit like a glove together and their is little tunning needed.
