2g gsx tranny swap

ok i have a 98 gsx and iv just had the tranny rebuilt only to have it go to shit, i think its the syncros. but i want to know if its possible to put a evo 8 or 9 MR tranny so i can have a new tranny and a 6 speed. and if thats not possible any suggestions would help alot thnx.

No mounts are different and it is cheaper to get a 2g tranny have it rebuilt or get a used one

stock tranny just isnt cutting it tho i spent over 3 grand to have the tranny rebuilt and put an act clutch and flywheel and i found it was cheaper to buy an EVO MR tranny.
