2g gst tires on volks

I am looking for a good tire for my 2g gst. The wheels are 17X7.5 w/ 42 offset le37t's. I am not looking to spend a great deal of money but want something with decent handling and traction. Also being a gst they will be spinning some so tread wear is also going to be accounted for. In the future I plan to drop it with some nice coilovers so what do you guys recomend for size and type of tire?

The toyo t1s' that were on them now have been burned through on the inside upfront. Do I need some form of camber correction to make sure I don't destroy these tires the same way or did they just get used up.

Any uneven tire wear indicates an alignment problem. Camber issues can contribute to wear but the real tread killer is toe-in or out. Get an alignment for maximum tire wear, performance and safety.

FYI: toe-out kills tires faster than the same amount of toe-in, at least when camber is negative, as it usually is.
