2g chrome spyder rims?

Just wondering if anyone knew what is the widest tire i can fit on a 2g eclipse spyder 5 spoke chrome rim.Also was wondering what kind of fitment issues ill have to deal with putting them on a 91 talon tsi awd/

I have the same thing you can run 225 with the tires slightly overhanging the rims, take it to a tire shop and try different sizes. You can search for other threads pertaining to this but i have the same set up on my 92 awd talon and i am thinking of getting wider rims and some fat lips on them.

I thought 2g came stock with 16 and 205?

it all depended on what model or trim level you got. Base model 2g had 14" steelies. many RS got the 14" alloy. GS got 16" alloy rims. GST got 16" alloys and the GSX got 17" alloys. I am sure thats not the only combination available but it is the average or common setups.

stock 1G or 2G wheels the widest you should go is 225/50
