I have that size KDWS on some TSW rims. I'm not sure of the exact drop (as the springs were on the car when I bought it), but I'm 99% sure they are H&R Sport, so about a 1.5" drop.

Im running 245 45 17s on my unit. and ive run the same tire with a stock 2 G ten spoke and my new 5 Zeigen FN 01Rs and they dont rub. but they are too wide ill go narrow next time so that it handles better in the twisties.

WTF Too wide as in too wide for the rim?

More contact patch as long as the sidewalls don't deflect too much is fine. More rubber on the road means more grip and better handling.

Anywho, I have a set of 235/45-17s on my car without major problems. I needed a 3mm spacer to clear the rear tires but other than that they fit with the 17x7.5 rims and 42mm offset. This is on a 2G. 1Gs should have problems either with the right offset.

I had no problems at all on my 91 Talon TSi FWD with the Eibach Prokit, AGX''s and 235/40/17's I also have 235/40/17's on my 90 GSX with stock suspension and have no problems at all. I even have a MKIV side mount and it don't rub at all.

im running this on my talon FWD with tokico suspension and exel mimi' rims..

no rubbing, but keep in mind that has to do with wheel offset also...
