Well last night was the first Test-N-Tune of the Season at Lubbock Dragway, right outside of Lubbock Tx. I decided to drive the 100 miles and try not to break anything. By the way altitude was 4250 ft.

Here are my mods SO FAR, so bare with my times:

1998 Eclipse GSX
Nitto Neo Gen 225/45/ZR17 on all corners, 30 psi on all
Stock SMIC
Stock Clutch
Mandrel Bent LICP
Mandrel bent UICP w/ 1g BOV
Hallman MBC @ 18 psi
2 1/2" Turbo Back (crush bent)
2 1/4" Turbo Inlet pipe
Ported 2G Manifold
Ported 02 Sensor Housing
FP Big28.,ported turbine housing
ExtremePSI 650 cc injectors,. Ball style
Walbro 190 HP pump
Apex'i SAFC

Car was Full Weight., Street Trim., Pump Gas.

Ok Here goes, out of 3 hours I managed to get in 3 runs, there was 200+ street cars there!!! No more DSM's though:confused:

1st pass

R/T 1.017
60' 1.847
330 5.486
1/8 8.541
MPH 80.76
1000 11.166
1/4 13.406
MPH 100.53

Kinda was like "oh the pretty colors went the light went green" I know.....but the rest of the pass was Right On, I shifted at 7200 on each gear.

2nd pass

R/T .904
60' 1.919
330 5.810
1/8 8.981
MPH 78.40
1000 11.668
1/4 13.943
MPH 98.81

On this pass the clutch slipped when I launched it a little high (5800), so I grabbed 2nd and it slipped a little more then Held after feathering it, still managed a 13.9 (damn).

3rd pass

R/T .927
60' 1.904
330 5.535
1/8 8.583
MPH 81.13
1000 11.202
1/4 13.440
MPH 100.45

Better than the last pass but still not the 12.9XX I was hoping for.
My car seems to pull really hard, but what does it take to get over this 13.0 Barrier???

I have read numerous posts how 1G's run mid 12's on stock turbo's and SMIc's, whats the deal with 2G's???

I am very impressed with my car don't get me wrong but.......

Could my stock clutch be slipping in the upper rpm Mid Gear???
I shift to 4th about 300 ft before the 1/4 ends., and trap right at 100.

I murdered a SRT-4 by 10+ car lengths and still only ran a 13.406

I want 12's.

So let me hear your opinions.....

ACT 2600
FMIC

Huh???

Anywas good night, ran great there and back with NO DRAMA.

Thanks for reading.

My car traps about same as yours and about same mods(but 1G). Even with ACT2600, the clutch really stinks after couple runs so I would not be surprise if the stocker is slipping.

I would like to hear opinions on my trap speeds.

100.45, and 100.53 doesn't seem like but one of a few things.....

weight

clutch slippage

too rich

not enough top end power

big boost leak (which my system has none except the piston rings)

So what gives?

My car weighs 3180 based on the door jamb tag.....plus 170 for me

So 3350 total guesstimating.

Does my car need a diet?

I wanna know where I can take up some slack so my car will run 12.5-9 in street trim.

I know I need a datalogger, or dsmlink.....or a TMO ECU

There's a few mods left on my list but which direction do you think would be most beneficial?

More feedback please.

Considering your on the Stock SMIC, Stock Clutch and a 2.5" Crushbent exhaust, I'd be pretty happy with your times. Upgrade those things and 12's should be no problem.

Also 1G's that run mid 12's with stock turbo and such usally have a fair amount of weight reduction.
