well it was the first time at the track with my eclipse and the new turbo set up etc. i seriously dont think things could have gone any worse. i only got one half assed run down the track before it went straight downhill.

my first run i launched a little hard, and took off, shifted into 3rd and heard a "poof" and i knew all to well what that sound meant. boost leak. i wasnt able to make it down the track for the rest of the night

my 1st run

r/t .107
60' 2.519
336 6.877
1/8 10.149
1000 12.844
1/4 15.111
MPH 99.61

what happend with the boost leak was my blow off valve. the flange literally cracked and broke. how the flip does that happen? now im out on a hunt for another new blow off valve and shit. go figure. not a bad time for not having a good 1st launch and for half assing 3rd gear.

if anything can go wrong i swear it will.

I know you have to be frustrated and disappointed, but the track has ways of shaking a car down that will show you the weaknesses. I had similar problems before I even tracked mine so I can sympathize with the way those Turbo XS units sit in the flanges and seal. Now might be a great time to replace it with an upper pipe and and a 1G blowoff which should hold more than enough boost for your setup.

Look at it this way. It took me three trips to two different track to get things right and my first pass was a 14.6 at 100 in an AWD. Don't feel so bad!

You'll get there, just be patient.

ahh im doing what i can. i just ordered full greddy intercooler pipes today along with a type rs blow off valve. i put the stock bov back in just to get to work and back  . we all know that the 2g bov only takes 10-12 psi, so not fun to drive. im headin back wed w/a new blow off valve and pipes. wish me luck, ill need it :thumb:

even though my car was all ghey last time i still had a great time. i saw a neon with like a 7 foot muffler running 18's..and then his car blew up at like the 1/8th mark. it was classic. i wish i had it on tape.

NO offence but 2.5 60ft isnt a good 60ft. Should be down around the 2.0 area for a fwd.
