1g pocket logger question

sorry for the probably answered 1 million time question.

** I'm preparing to buy a pocket logger( palm m505 )
correct me if i'm wrong please.

to connect a pocket logger I would need this
PocketLOGGER for DSMs Overview

and then connect that part to the Hot sync cable which connects to the Palm?

a bit confused... thanks.

take a look at these kits. I just ordered the tuner series. This comes with everything you need to datalog in a 1g. Plus some goodies like shop manuals

About that cable you posted, one side plugs into your car, and the other into the palm. The ALDL side (car connector) plugs under your dash near the fuse box. The serial side of the cable would plug into your palm device.
