Yes I searched, and found nothing that helped. Here is the problem.

I changed out my sealed beams the other week with some H4 non sealed repleacements and they worked fine. Then the other night I turned on the lights and boom no lights, I checked all the fuses and the Headlight fuse under the hood was blown.

Well just to check if anything would work I took the fuse out of the rear defoger and put it in the headlight spot. The hi beams worked but no low. I got the car to my friends and messed with it some more and clicking between Hi/Lo blew the fuse again. I tested the relay and its good I just cant figure what it would be?

How hard is it to change just the headlight harness? I could do that if its got plugs under the hood. And does anyone here have a harness to sell if its doable?

Thanks
Jeremy

I'd recommend changing back to the old headlights. I'd figure the new ones are pulling to much current and are blowing the fuse.

Possible fix is bigger fuse but You should probabley run lower guage wire up to the head lights. 1G Headlights are never bright.

Thats not true. My friends will not drive in front of my 91 tsi. All it takes is a pair of sealed beam silverstars and your set.

Yeah the first thing I thougt too, the lights are just drawing to much current so I changed them back but that didnt make any difference. They still pop on low beam setting.

sounds like a short to ground in the headlight circut ... check the wiring out
