Hey guys,

My car just stalled today as I was driving her to get a wash. (As it died, the dash lights flickered). I went to start it up again, and all it would do is just crank. I really don't have time to do research so if you can point where I should look first (and how to do it), I'd appreciate it.

My car is a 90 Laser RS:
170xxx miles on rebuilt engine.
wahlbro 190 fuel pump
mbc set at 12psi
hacked MAF

The car has gas, and is parked on the side of the street.
Thanks in advance.

It's possible your ECU caps are leaking. Do a search here for leaking ECU caps. There are tons of threads on it, but it could be anything, really. You'll need to start with the basics. Do you have fuel (at the injectors), spark, compression?

The things you wanna check are is if the engine is getting gas from the tank, and the injectors are firing. Then you can check the ignition system. Make sure the wires are good and the coil is producing a spark.Make sure u have 40-45 psi of fuel pressure in the lines and there are no leaks. I had the same problem this summer where it would just crank and i replaced everything in the ignition and it would start one day and then never start again, just crank and what it turned out to be is the fuel filter was clogged completely so gas wasnt making it through the filter to the fuel rail
